WHAT TO EXPECT ON SUNDAY

Our gatherings are casual and friendly, lasting about 60-75 minutes. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted with friendly smiles and hello’s.

We start off with the worship team leading us in a couple of songs. All lyrics will be on the screens so it’s easy to follow along.

Next, one of our pastor/elders will share from God’s word—applying the good news about Jesus to everyday life.

Then the worship team will come out again and we’ll sing a few more songs. During that time, we respond in a few ways: Communion is available as we remember the sacrifice of Jesus and celebrate God’s plan of salvation. Our prayer team is in the back of the room for those that would like someone to pray for them. We also use this time to allow for those who call Union Church their home to give donations.

We end our gatherings with corporate prayer, meaning we pray aloud together (these prayers change every now and then). Again, words will be on the screen so following along is easy.

WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS?

Our Kid’s Ministry serves children ages 0 through 6th grade. Our teachers and leaders are warm and welcoming and eager to show the love of Jesus to your child. We have the classes broken-down into three age categories: LITTLES is for ages 0-2. MIDDLES is for ages 3-Kindergarten. BIGS is for 1st-6th graders.

Our desire is for kids to know God and His story and help them find their place in that story. Your children will be taught a lesson from the Bible (we use the Gospel Project curriculum) and then they will do a craft or worksheet project related to the lesson. Snacks will also be provided (gluten-free option available).

We regard safety as a top priority. All our kids volunteers have been background checked and we follow a secure check-in process which begins 15 minutes before the service begins. Check-out time is within the first 15 minutes following the service.

If we need to contact you during the service, we will do so via text message, so please have your phone with you on silent mode.

How about MY JUNIOR HIGH OR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT?

Your Junior High or High School student is welcome to join us in the main gathering on Sunday as we worship and learn together.

Our youth group usually meets twice a month outside the Sunday gatherings for bible study and community. We look forward to your teen being able to learn and connect alongside other students their age with the help and mentorship of leaders who long to guide and love your child along the way.
